The Samick Sage Jr. arrived today undamaged and early. No problems with the bow, it is well made and shoots well. would not hesitate to recommend this bow for an adult female just starting out or any junior archer.

I began my life long love of archery 63 years ago with a very nice 1st bow and decent arrows. I wanted my Grandson to have no less so I chose this well crafted take-down bow for that reason. For a few bucks more than glorified toy bows sell for this one is an investment. He can get heavier limbs for it as he grows and use this bow for some years to come. I can’t wait to see him shoot it on Christmas!

My son is 10 and just got into archery, so after lots of comparing we went with this bow in the left handed option. The draw weight is perfect for him, the grip looks very nice, and it shoots great. I’ve even shot it. We took it to a local archery shop and they wrapped the string to make it thicker so the arrow nocks fit better. Overall I recommend this for the perfect starter bow!

Bought for my 5’3″ gf so she and I could shoot our respective Sages together outback into our homemade targets of cardboard + old sofa pillows. You can make recurves for cheap and with not terrible effort but if you want a very high-quality, pre-made recurve from an online retailer, you’d be hard pressed to find a better bow than the Sammick Sage.String is very quality, my gf’s was banded in red where you nock the arrow, which we both think adds a beautiful touch to the package.I love the high-quality, replaceable limbs you get with all Sage bows. Want to get a higher poundage limb? No problem! They’re expensive though *$50-85 onlineThe handle is just….oof. so SMOOVE. You will love holding this bow, if you have large hands or not.My only real gripe about this bow is that you’re not given a bow-stringer, which makes stringing your expensive and nice bow much easier…eliminating damage to the string, bow and the person attempting to string the bow that you may experience if you try and string the bow by bending the limbs with your strength and using the ground for the other limb. You’re also not given a felt-like resting pad for the arrow that came with my Sammick sage that I bought on 3riversarchery online. Instead, you’re given a pretty flimsy raised rest for the arrow.

Same laminar design to smaller scale and lighter and shorter limbs. A fun youth bow. Kinda small even for a small woman though. at 20lb draw max I worry about the strongerbigger tween archer over drawing weaker limbs. Service is excellent and helpful with technical issues.

Good bow for beginners.

I’ve gotten several of these bows for use in our elementary-school archery program. The kids love them! Well made. Easy to put together. My only complaint would be that they don’t come with a bow stringer. Other than that: highly recommended!

Bought this for our 11 year old son who’s a little on the smaller side (4’7”). Suits him perfectly – no trouble pulling back or shooting. He’s using it for 4H shooting sports, and we’ve been very happy with it.

I have the standard size Samick Sage, and my kid had grown out of the entry level bow, so this was an upgrade. Build quality is good and draw weight was the proper increase(from #18 to #25) To continue archery training for the kid. One of the accessory mount brass thread inserts came loose, but I can epoxy that back in, so no praw.

Nice little bow. Great light draw weight for youngsters and older adults with less strength than they used to have.
